Shared Ownership
You can part-buy and part-rent your home. You can buy shares of 25%, 50%, or 75% and pay rent on the remaining share. After one year you can increase your share.

- Grampian Housing Association
- Castlehill Housing Association (you must be more than 55 years old)
- Hanover Housing Association (this Association also offers the option of 100% purchase)
LIFT
This is for first time buyers. Tenants of Councils or Housing Associations/Co-operatives, or people on the waiting list have priority.
New Supply Shared Equity Scheme
This scheme is for new developments. You can buy a share of between 51% and 80% of the property. The Housing Association/Co-operative owns the remaining share. You do not pay rent.
Open Market Shared Equity Scheme
This scheme is for people on low incomes. You can buy a share of between 60% and 80% of the property, and you get a grant to pay for the remaining share.
